Iran’s Paralympian Saman Pakbaz Wins Silver Medal in Men’s Shot Put F12 Rio 2016 Paralympic Games

Pakpaz was the first Iranian Paralympic medalist in the first day of games

. He competed with nine athletes in F12 and produced four records, the furthest of them was 15.98 m. In this event Kim Lopez Gonzalez won the gold medal with a throw of 16.44 meters and bronze medal went to Ukraine’s Ukraine Roman Danyliuk with 15.94 meters.Another Iranian delegation, Younes Seifipour, threw 8.40m and placed fifth in men’s shot put F32 in Paralympic Rio 2016.
